Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Thompson as our New Head Professional; Scott will be taking on the supply of the Pro-shop.

John Blackburn, Rob Moss and Will Hobbs will still be teaching within the club.

Scott has a wealth of experience within the golfing industry and has great future plans to bring the Shop and the Club forward.

I will be working closely with Scott so we can provide the best service possible to you all.

The shop will be named Mendip Spring Golf Centre of excellence; This will be opening on the 1^st September in the old spike bar.

Scott will be at the club on Wednesday 30^th July from 12.00pm with me, so if you have any questions please feel free to come and have a chat.

Open Weekend Success.

Despite the weather Mendip Spring Golf Club saw a great turnout for the open weekend. We had some fantastic scores winning the competitions, with teams from our own club and away teams coming in with over 40 points on Saturday.

Mendip Spring Golf Open Day Sunday 22nd June. All Welcome.

The Future of Mendip Spring

For the attention of all members who could not attend the celebration at the Club, hosted by our new owner Chris Mikulla and his family. The following is a brief synopsis of his future intent for our club, explained to us all, after introducing his family.

IN THE SHORT TERM.

1.      Daughter Vicky will be responsible for the Club House and marketing of same.

2.      Daughter Heidi will oversee all of the Clubs activities.

3.      The introduction of Sports TV will be a priority.

4.      The Broadband strength at the Club will be addressed, to facilitate a better service.

5.      The overnight accommodation will be advertised and utilised.

6.      The Restaurent will be opened and hopefully be a place everybody will want to go to.

7.      The Club will open at 7am and breakfasts will be served.

8.      The coffee vending machine will be relocated to the Half Way house.

9.      The Pro shop will be relocated in the Club house area.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

1.      Putting green to replace the lawn between the current Pro shop and club house and cover to the existing area plus where the buggies are parked

2.      Buggies refurbished and hopefully more buggies obtained.

3.      Hopefully that a fountain can be installed on the 18th hole in the pond to make a feature and complete Ralph's wish.

4.      Subs remain the same annually, but monthly payments to be looked at along with Registered member fees, the year will start in August to comply with the new owners current businesses.

CHRIS'S DREAM

TO BUILD A STATE OF THE ART, GLASS FRONTED  CLUB HOUSE OVER THE TOP OF THE GREEN KEEPERS SHED, OVERLOOKING 1st tee and 18th green.

Members are reminded the our new owners need every bodies support, and in return for this, all thing mentioned above can be achieved.
